PEACE DAY


We are celebrating the Peace Day on 30th January. Close your eyes and try to visualize a world of peace enjoyed by all who share our beautiful planet. Everybody can contribute to get peace. Let’s read the following pieces of advice and comment on them.

Although “Blowing in the Wind” has been described as a protest song, it poses a series of questions about peace, war, and freedom. In 1975, the song was included as poetry in a new high school English textbook in Sri Lanka. The textbook caused controversy because it replaced Shakespeare's work with Dylan's. Now, listen to the song and try to fill in the gaps.

ROMEO AND JULIET


Welcome again! What about your holidays? I hope you have enjoyed a lot. Now, it's time to continue working. This term, we are reading one of Shakespeare's most well-known plays: Romeo and Juliet.
